Asperen (Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of Lingewaal, and lies about 10 km east of Gorinchem on the river Linge. It received city rights in 1313.
) is a town in theIn 2001, the town of Asperen had 2932 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.72 km², and contained 1087 residences.[1] The statistical area "Asperen", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 3060.[2]
Until 1986, Asperen was a separate municipality.
