Asleep (song)

Asleep is a song by The Smiths. It features on the compilation albums The World Won't Listen and Louder Than Bombs, and originally appeared as the B-side to The Boy With The Thorn In His Side. It remains a fan-favourite, although it was only performed live once by the group (at Eden Court, Inverness, on 1 October 1985). The song features piano predominantly and vocals by Morrissey.

- In Stephen Chbosky's book The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, Asleep is listed as being the favourite song of the main character, Charlie.
