Askeran

Askeran (Ասկերան in Armenian, Əsgəran in Azeri) is a province of Nagorno-Karabakh. It is in the center of the region, surrounding the capital city of Stepanakert. It is coterminous with the Azerbaijani rayon of Khojali, and is wholly under Armenian control.
