Asian College of Journalism, Chennai

Asian College of Journalism (ACJ) in Chennai, India is a journalism school which offers post-graduate courses in journalism, adapted to the specific needs of India, and other developing countries in Asia. It offers a one year PG Diploma course in journalism, with a choice of four specialisations: print media, broadcast media, new media and radio.

ACJ was started in Bangalore in 1994 by the Indian Express group. At that time it offered only a print course. In 2000, it was taken over by The Hindu group and was shifted to Chennai, in the same location as the old Hindu office on Wallajah Road. It now comes under the aegis of the Asian Media Foundation, headed by chairman Sashi Kumar. Current faculty includes experienced former media professionals like Dr Nalini Rajan, Bindu Bhaskaran, Sreekumar Menon, VK Krishna Ananth, Mahalakshmi Jayaram, Gita Abraham etc.

Alumni Reunion takes place on December 15th 2006 at the college.
