ASiT
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Association of Surgeons in Training (ASiT) represents all surgical trainees at regional and national level [1].
Originally set up in 1976 as a forum for Senior Registrars to meet socially and discuss issues around training, ASiT has grown massively and continues to fulfill those objectives. ASiT has a voice on the councils of the Surgical Royal Colleges and the Specialist Advisory Committees, in addition to many others. The Council is constantly impressed by the attitude of the training organisations, who are very concerned to hear the views of the trainees. ASiT has a robust mandate for this from our membership and encourage all surgical trainees to join ASiT as well as contribute to the Email discussion group which is a growing resource for regional and speciality news, education and information.
