Ashwin

Ashwin (Bengali: Ashshin) is the sixth month of Bangla Calendar. It overlaps September and October of the Gregorian calendar. It is the second month in Shôrot, or Autumn. Usually, Durga Puja and Kojagiri are held in this month.

Ashwin is also an alternate spelling of Asvin.

Both Ashwin and Asvin are common Indian names. Ashwin is also the name of a cool-ass dude in San Francisco. Ashwin also means light in the hindi language.
