Ashtānga Hridayam

The Ashtānga Hridayam is a classical book of Ayurveda and is regarded as highly among Ayurvedic physicians as the normative Charak and Shushrut. The Ashtang Hridaya was compiled by the Vagbhatta-I. The period of the compilation is said to be between 250 and 500 B.C.

The combination of Charak, Shushrut and Vagbhatta results in Brahatrayi. Ashtang Hridaya is a combination of Surgery and Medicine.
