Ashraf Ali Thanvi

Ashraf Ali Thanvi, also known as "Hakeem-ul-Ummat", was one of the most prominent scholars of Islam hailing from Darul Uloom Deoband. He was born in a village named Thana Bhawan (in the Muzaffarnagar District of the Uttar Pradesh province of India) on Wednesday, 5 Rabi‘ ul-Awwal, 1280 AH (August 19, 1863 CE). He died on 16 Rajab, 1362 AH (1943 CE).
He wrote about 1365 books pertaining to different facets of Islam, which, in the history of islam is the highest number of books ever written by one man.
