Ashley Westwood

Ashley Westwood born 31 August 1976 in Bridgnorth is a professional footballer who currently plays as a central defender for Chester City.

Ashley started his career as trainee at Manchester United and was part of the FA Youth Cup winning side 1995 before signing for Crewe Alexandra the same year.

After more than 100 appearances in three seasons for Crewe Alexandra he moved to Bradford City and was part of the squad that spent two seasons in the Premiership.

He moved to Sheffield Wednesday in 2000 making more than 100 appearances for the Owls before moving to Northampton Town in 2003 and then Chester City in 2006.
