Ashfaq Hussain Zaidi (Urdu: اشفاق حسین زیدی) (born January 1, 1951 in Karachi, Pakistan) is an Urdu poet who writes under the pen name Ashfaq Hussain. He is known for his simple style of writing and for his coverage of the life and works of Faiz Ahmed Faiz.

Ashfaq Hussain studied at the University of Karachi prior to settling in Toronto, Canada in 1980. Since 1980 he has held numerous mushaira through his organization 'Urdu International'. These mushaira have featured such notable poets as Ahmed Faraz, Jon Elia, and Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi.

An ambassador for the Urdu language in North America, Ashfaq Hussain currently heads the Urdu television channel ATN ARY Digital for the Asian Television Network in Newmarket, Ontario. He is the host of a show titled 'Urdu Rang' (The colour of Urdu).
