Ashdell School is a traditional preparatory school for girls aged 4-11, founded in 1948. The school buildings occupy two Victorian houses and an adjoining coach house with gardens, car parks and play areas between. Situated in a suburb of south-west Sheffield, Broomhill is one of the city's more desirable residential areas, with the advantage of being close to both the City Centre and to the Peak District National Park. There are around 110 girls at this selective school.
