- Asgard is the name of a fictional wonder-city, a city constructed not only to be lived in but also to be marvelled at, in Jack London's Dystopian Novel, The Iron Heel. It was said to have been completed in the year 1984.

- A race of beings known as the Asgard are heavily referred to in the popular Stargate television series. Here they are depicted as an ancient Alien race that visit Earth, they are referred to in one episode as the Roswell Greys as they resemble the descriptions UFO abductees often give.
