[edit] Overview

Asgard is the name of a fictional wonder-city, a city constructed not only to be lived in but also to be marvelled at, in Jack London's Dystopian Novel, The Iron Heel It was said to have been completed in the year 1984

[edit] Description

It is said to be a wonder city, or a city that is built by the Oligarchy of the novel to be admired and appreciated as well as lived in. Thousands of Proletariat live in poverty there, and are used whenever a public work needs to be completed, such as the building of levie or a canal. In a direct quotation from the book, it is said

"The walls and towers and shafts of that fair city will arise to the sound of singing, and into its beauty and wonder will be woven, not sighs and groans, but music and laughter."

This quote states that those who enjoy the wonder of the city will ignore the toil and suffering of those who created it.
