Asbjorn Lonvig was born in Brande, Denmark in 1949. By Lonvig's own accounts, he was very successful in school, but depressed. Lonvig became the director of a municipality's computer department, then left the job to found a successful computer company, then sold the firm for millions. After this, Lonvig pursued a career in computer-generated art. He is currently married with two children, and continues to work in the arts, mainly illustrating children's literature.
