As The Sun Sets was a tech-metal band with grind influences from Providence, Rhode Island. Members from this band came from the Metalcore band Dyakx, which was considered as a dead-end project. As The Sun Sets' singer, bassist, and drummer moved on to form the successful grind band Daughters.
As The Sun Sets' career was short, but they made a breakthrough in the American Metal scene with the intensity of their vocals and instrumental blasts. The band broke up after their third release, 8949. Nowadays, As The Sun Sets records are high in value due to the increasing popularity of Daughters in the underground metal scene. Copies of out of print ATSS albums are often seen on eBay reaching bids of $100.
