Aryo Danusiri

Aryo Danusiri (1973- ) is an Indonesian documentary and ethnographic filmmaker
Danusiri's films focus on human rights and ethnic tensions in Indonesia. His latest film, Lukas' Moment, is his graduation film project at Visual Anthropology (MPhil Course), University of Tromsø, Norway. His films have been screened at various film festivals including Margaret Mead (USA), Amnesty (Amsterdam), and Rotterdam Film Festival. In 2002, he was an international jury member at Tampere Film Festival (Finland).
His three Aceh documentaries have been released in DVD by B3W Film Project (Australia) for international distribution. He is also a coordinator of Ragam, a network for the empowerment of Indonesian visual media for multicultural issues. Currently, he is working in a new film project about the socio-cultural processes in post-tsunami and post-conflict Aceh.
