It is not an ad. The site is non-profit and ad-free. What would be the point of advertising it? certainly not to get more members - the staff/server can hardly cope as it is! The reason it is important is the large ammount of media exposure it gets. The editor regularly appears on UK news programmes and the site has even been featured of the jenny jones show in the US! Is is also an important hub for activism in the UK. It should be remembered that some who would like to remove this entry may have political problems with the site.
