Well, first of all, "Andrew Robinson" should be "Anthony Robinson" and the "kissing contest" bit is laughable.

It seems that this article is an attempt by Jesse Thorn to lay claim to what is admittedly a concept that predates Mister and Robinson and Massey's conception.

Mister, Robinson, and Massey simply used the term to talk about a tendency in contemporary poetry.
