Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion/Darren Hayday

[edit] Darren Hayday
Here is my side to the story and that I now wish this site to stay as it was originally.
My IP address is from Bucks County Council, the same as another user that I can see from the history, vandalises entries.
I have a user name 'Hayday' that I sometimes forget to sign on and just use the IP address.
User Francs2000 assumed the two were one in the same - hence his real reason to delete my page after reading through it and using the conclusion that it was done out of vanity.
I have looked through Wikipedia and I can see a lot of other people that in his definition doesn’t reach the standard of notoriety, similar Councillors, etc.
OK – so I added my own page before reading all the policies – but I still think that I have a slight right to be added.
I really don’t want to go through all the individual sites and mark their sites for deletion because I think that they are similar to mine – because that would be unfair.
I have apologised to user Francs2000 because I wrongly assumed that he was getting personal by making an attack on my page. And hence the reason that I got angry and marked his user page for deletion.
I can see where the crossed wires are now, from spending time looking further into this.
I have added a number of entries and want to continue to – but how can I when I can see that the system can be abused and the rules are bent to some administrators own definitions.
Regards
Darren
- Please see your user talk page - I did not 'target' you for any reason at all, and was acting in good faith. I do not like the suggestion that I acted out of spite and do not accept that apology. -- Francs2000 20:44, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

- I understand and support that Kingboyk closed early but I had hoped to comment there on this as well, it's important to realise that assume good faith means that Darren should not jump to the conclusion that anyone is targeting anyone. Nominating an article for deletion is a perfectly legitimate and useful thing to do, it helps keep the encyclopedia, well, encyclopedic. There is no evidence Francs2000 acted in bad faith ... ++Lar: t/c 00:14, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
