[edit] Possible sock puppets

This is a chronology of edits by users that I think are related.

I think one possible interpretation of these edits is that User:128.151.94.192, User:Fn and User:Howeman are sock puppets of User:Alakon. - Dalbury 00:39, 6 November 2005 (UTC)

I'm with you on User:128.151.94.192, User:Fn and User:Alakon probably being the same individual. I don't think User:128.151.94.192 really qualifies as a sock puppet as it predates any user account. User:Fn looks like really naive sockpuppetry, not much further comment needed there. The User:Howeman account has a longer timeline. User:Howeman has no edits other than creating a userpage and participating in this AfD. If it is a sockpuppet, then it shows more cunning intentions. The weird switch to the "Brendan" tag could be a naive attempt as sockpuppetry, but hard to reconcile with the Alakon creating the account with the intention of using it as a sockpuppet. Could go either way. Perhaps it's time to make a request to have Checkuser brougt to bear. Pete.Hurd 07:01, 6 November 2005 (UTC)

  • I suspect Howeman of being a sock puppet of Alakon because the account was created and then left dormant for 3 weeks. Brent Henry Waddington and his book Trout look very much like a hoax (and has now been deleted), and it looks like Alakon started seeding references to Waddington at about the same time. I don't see how to request Checkuser without taking this to the ArbCom, which seems premature here. - Dalbury 10:08, 6 November 2005 (UTC)
