The result of the debate was Keep. Withdrawn by nominator and three keeps, none otherwise. Alf melmac 11:10, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- I don't think Vic Galloway is famous enough to have his own wiki, he does a weekly on BBC Radio Scotland and does the Scottish show on Radio 1 so not many people outside Scotland will be aware of him.
- Vic's show is listened to by hundreds of thousands of people every week on radio 1 and his radio scotland show is also very popular. He should stay on wikipedia so that people outside scotland can get more information about him.213.121.151.206 00:16, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
- Keep - while perhaps not especially famous, he sounds notable enough from the description. As an aside - please indicate a vote (usually either keep or delete) and sign your posts with four tildes. Dsreyn 00:31, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
I agree, keep Vic Galloway, he has a far higher profile than many other people with wikipedia entries.
- Keep - I only moved to Scotland 4 months ago, and yet I am familiar with Vic Galloway. BBC Radio 1 is a very popular station in the UK! jamiemcc 13:26, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
- Keep - The guy has two shows on the BBC, not just some random local station. Also, along with Jim Gellatly, he's the only Scottish DJ representing new music, both in Scotland and further afield, he's got the respect of da kidz, and he's part of the Fence Collective (e.g. KT Tunstall, King Creosote, James Yorkston, etc. - watch this space) with his band Deaf Mutes (not Huckleberry - they've not been around for a while - in fact, he was in Hail Caesar in between!). He's also going to be presenting T in the Park on TV this year (2006) and the second (and hopefully greatly improved) series of The Music Show on BBC2 Scotland. One other note - I don't think he's DJing at the Funhouse any more but he is doing Manumission, with Zane Lowe and the aforementioned Jim Gellatly, and some other stuff in Ibiza this Summer.
I've decided the result is to keep Vic Galloway's profile.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Reindeer (talk • contribs) 10:57, 24 May 2006 (UTC).
