[edit] The English School
No! This is not a schools deletionist/inclusionist debate! The article is POV and nugatory, it's a commercial operation, and the title is wrong. So given that it's the wrong article in the wrong place, I say remove it. - Just zis Guy, you know? [T]/[C] :: AfD? 11:34, 11 November 2005 (UTC)
- Comment If the title is wrong, move it. If the article is POV, revise it. Neither are sufficient reasons to delete it. Kurt Weber 23:49, 13 November 2005 (UTC)

Re-write and re-name-or just delete and someone can start again if they like (same difference).Doc ask? 13:47, 11 November 2005 (UTC)- Keep Of course this is a school-deletionist nomination. It is a mainstream school school rather than a language school as the nomination led me to suppose, and it is a non-profit making institution as is say Eton College. It claims to be the only non-profit making school in Kuwait and to be the main international school in the country for 2-13 year olds, making it much more notable than most schools for that age group. I will wikify the article. CalJW 13:49, 11 November 2005 (UTC)
Delete. It's a list poorly written, possibly a joke by a Wikipedian testing the limits of schools-inclusionist thinking. Durova 13:54, 11 November 2005 (UTC)- I have rewritten it. There is no evidence for the suggestion that is a joke or a test. In fact it was written by an ISP address which has a history of legitimate edits, mainly on Middle Eastern and Asian topics, but has never contributed to a school article before.CalJW 14:07, 11 November 2005 (UTC)
- Keep per rewrite. Durova 15:48, 11 November 2005 (UTC)

- Keep per CalJW's rewrite. If it's the only not-for-profit school in its whole country, (however small that country is), and that country's longest-established private school (Just wondering, CalJW - is it Kuwait's first-ever private school?), then it's worth writing about. --Idont Havaname 15:32, 11 November 2005 (UTC)
- Keep this clearly notable private school in the Emirate of Kuwait. I doubt very much it is the first private school, as there are likely several (and likely very old) "private" schools that predate the presence of an English-speaking population.--Nicodemus75 16:37, 11 November 2005 (UTC)

- Comment: This is not, I repeat not a school deletionist nomination. It is precisely as stated above: the article as written was the wrong content in the wrong tone in the wrong place. "The English School" is not unambiguous. As rewritten it is much better; if someone can suggest the correct naming per usual naming conventions I'll move it and withdraw the nom. - Just zis Guy, you know? - On second thoughts, I'll just be bold: the School's website describes it as "The English School, Kuwait" so that's where I've put it, leaving a redirect behind. I have removed the AfD tag and I withdraw the nomination, with thanks to CalJW for the rewrite. - Just zis Guy, you know? [T]/[C] :: AfD? 17:58, 11 November 2005 (UTC)

- Keep as per Wikipedia:Schools/Arguments#Keep. Next time, {{sofixit}}, rather than clog up an already convoluted AFD system. Silensor 22:13, 11 November 2005 (UTC)
