Smells like a hoax - article created by anon who created Henry Almond hoax on same day and inserted links to Manos and Almond on their respective birthdate pages. Careful googling indicates existence of an Australian named John Manos who has in fact won a medal for his athletic feats - in pistol shooting, not football/rugby/whatever. • Delete according to WP:V. Supposedly a player with the Essendon Football Club, a very popular club in the Australian Football League. However, a Google search for "John Manos" Essendon came up empty see [2] and JPD couldn't find any record of him on the club web page. Capitalistroadster 23:43, 2 November 2005 (UTC)
