The result was Delete - no references provided despite requests, indicating that it probably hasn't been considered worth mentioning by anybody outside the University. Yomanganitalk 14:13, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Campus 14
A tradition at a single university, doesn't show any evidence of being interesting, influential or notable outside the local community where it takes place. FreplySpang 22:56, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- Delete per nom, and quite frankly, the list at pub crawl is getting out of hand. There needs to be some sort of quality control done on that. --Kinu t/c 23:08, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- Keep - This bar crawl has a very long history and is well known by the 30,000 current students and hundreds of thousands of alumni of the university. New students are frequently referred to this article as the standard resource for the route and risks, the article has existed for some time already and it is kept up-to-date with current developments at all of the bars involved. However this article could feasibly be merged into University Park Campus. Also I believe the article is of interest to those outside the local community, especially anyone researching British drinking culture, a subject which is constantly in the media spotlight. --Danrhyn 13:24, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- KeepI can add little to the above arguments, merely second them all.
- Keep This is one of the most prestigous bar crawls in the UK. I had heard about it long before I came to Nottingham and have had people come down to visit with the main intention to attempt it. This article is often used to save explaining to the new nottingham freshers who are unsure on details. Since the Introduction of "the mix" cafes there has been declined interest but this is mainly due to the fact that willoughby is still undergoing refurbishment (due to be completed within the next few weeks)---[Jason Garfitt] 10:40, 31 October 2006
- Keep The pub crawl is as revered as the Monopoly Pub Crawl and certainly deserves it's space here. If the powers that be decide it doesn't deserve it's own article it certainly deserves merging into another like University of Nottingham as reading about the university would not be complete without knowledge of student behaviour and legend. - Where are the third-party sources describing this event? I don't doubt that this article is describing something real, but if it can only be sourced from participants and/or students at the university, then there is no evidence of impact in an encyclopedic sense, as FreplySpang describes in the nomination. So may I request that those calling for this article to be kept please provide those?--SB | T 23:27, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
KEEP - many encyclopaedic entries are not relevant or useful to lots of people, however this one seems to me to be extremely useful for the new students of this university, provides good memories for the alumni and is a good reference for risks and routes etc for not only the students themselves but also unsuspectinf friends...I know a good many students who have consulted this site, I do not see any reason why it should be deleted.
