[edit] Artem
An Artem is the name of a photosynthetic organism with a large antenna, commonly found in the San Francisco Bay area of California. Artems are rumored to have descended from a rare, albino form of the heterotrophic artichoke, Cynara Negris, commonly known as a "Starvin' Marvin". Artems are generally around 3-5" tall, although much smaller versions have been found.
[edit] Mating Habits
Artems are not classified as male or female, but rather, by the charge their antenna has. There are Positive(+) Artems, Negative (-) Artems, Neutrally Charged Artems (0), and Bi-charged Artems (+/-). The wild negatively charged artem is usually more aggresive in pursuing mates, often dipping its antenna in oil and starting wild fires in order to find a mate. However, positively charged Artems are commonly spotted savagely ripping out other competitors' antenna with their own, over mating rights. Artems are easily identified by their long mating calls of "Arooo!" Neutral Artems, the result of either 2 positive parents or 2 negative parents, cannot reproduce unless they have become an Bi-Charged Artem. When mating, Artems often find a hollow tree trunk, empty metal pipe, or any long, cyllindrical, hollow object. Fertilization is caused by Van der Waals forces merging together their antennae and shocking together 2 gametes. In some phenomena, a negatively charged artem may be invited to place his antenna in between the 2 to have the child to be born to it, if the other 2 Artems feel pity for its inability to have offspring. Bi-charged Artems fluctuate between positive and negative charges. Sometimes, when a Bi-Charged Artem as a positive, is mating with a negatively charged Artem, it's charge may change in mid-intercourse and will result in deformed offspring, commonly named Raskins. If 2 Bi-charged Artems decide to mate, there is a rare phenomenon in which both could fluctuate charges at approximately the same time, causing electric forces to surround the 2, causing immense tissue damage to the 2 antennae, and any other artems around. This is usually fatal to the 2 Bi-Charged Artems. The gestation period of Artems is about 11 months, sometimes longer. Artems are typically born as one, with some exceptions.
[edit] Bi-Charged Artems
Bi-Charged Artems are the result of several phenomena. One method of producing a Bi-Charged Artem is to apply intense electricity to the antenna of a Neutral artem, found in nature as lightning. For this reason, many neutrally charged artems stand on trees for a hope to be able to reproduce. Another type of Bi-charged Artems result from Siamese Twins of positive and negatively charged artems, and their bodies are assimilated into each other gradually. The latter type of Bi-Charged Artems tend to be unpredictable in their personalities, due to the 2 "thinking" nuclei in them.

[edit] Josef Massinger
Of the lost lands of Germany, Prussia's history has been well documented, but Galizienland seems to be vanishing with its now-vanishing inhabitants. Josef Massinger was a citizen of Galizien in ?? (this is what I can't find any information on). Specifically he is from Münchental, Galizien, which was once a part of Austria from the 1700's and also a German-speaking part of Poland after World War II. It is today's L'viv (L'vov in Ukranian), Ukraine. Josef Massinger wrote how he left in order to fight and keep “Galizienland” a part of Germany but now lives in foreign places and will not return to the land where the love of his family and the beauty of the valley had nourished him. The original, German poem, titled "Heimweh nach Münchental" follows:
Heimweh nach Münchental by Josef Massinger

- Galicia_(Central_Europe)#Major_cities_and_towns says that L'vov was called Lemberg in German, not Münchental. Münchental was a smaller town near Lemberg, it seems. There's a map if you click on "Muenchental" on this page. I can't find any references for Josef Massinger as a poet on Google. Why don't you ask at this G-E forum? - Other names for Münchental seem to be Münchenthal, Мужиловичі, Muzhylovychi, Muzylowice (Kolonia) (Polish). And apparently Muzelowice (a Hilde Massinger of any interest?) Saint|swithin 09:19, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bit Char-G
[edit] Sources
219.74.226.12 08:16, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
Bit Char-G is the world's smallest pocket-size radio-controlled micro car. Originating from Japan by some clever bods at TOMY, the Bit Char-G (pronounced as 'bit charge') is based upon the same technology as a mobile phone vibrator and because of this, Bit Char-G cars have an overall length of 6cm - so small that you can maneuver it on your desk although they work best when they're racing around specially made tracks.
Simply connect the car to the side of the controller, wait 45 seconds while the car charges up and away you go - it really is that simple. The only power the controller requires is two 'AA' batteries (not included). A single charge will run for a good few minutes. When it dies, simply re-charge. The most excellent feature of the Bit Char-G is the fact that it can be easily customized and upgraded. There are four different engines, numerous tires, body shells and gears - all of which are installed within minutes (sometimes seconds). The Official Bit Char-G cars use one of four different frequencies - allowing up to four cars to race together in mini grand prix-style races. There are unofficial copies available at a cheaper price - they aren't as well-built as the official cars, but they are cheap and they use additional frequencies (allowing for up to six cars to race against each other).

[edit] Runescape metal dragon slaying
Metal dragons are very powerful monsters found at the end of Brimhaven Dungeon. Like any other dragon, they use both melee and breath.
How strong do I have to be to kill one?
There are three main types of metal dragons: bronze dragon(level 131), iron dragon (level 189) and steel dragon (level 246). Bronze dragons aren't that hard to kill but it wouldn't be very smart to try if you aren't a decent level 75-80. Iron dragons and steel dragon are in the same area so if you are only prepared to survive an iron dragon you might find yourself in a bit of trouble. So it is recommended that you are 85-90 or level 70 with over 85 maged before you go hunting these dragons.
What should i bring?
A GOOD WEAPON! DUH! you may try kicking one of these to death if you are feeling you want to die. A good weapon is probably dragon battleaxe. Abyssal whip is normally good but slash attacks aren't very effective. Use Crush.
AN ANTI DRAGON FIRE SHIELD AND POTIONS IF YOU DON"T WANT TO BE KO'd!This is a must.
GOOD FOOD: this is also a must- a good idea is karabwan for steel, lobsters will do for iron and bronze.
Monk robes: gives prayer bonus.

[edit] Nathan Himmerich
"Nathan Himmerich b.October 3rd, 1943 A genetic physicist involved in the creation of the DNA molecule strucural model. Now is living comfortably in Western Volusia County, Florida." and what followed changed to:
Nathan Himmerich b.October 3rd, 1883 A sex therapist involved in the creation of the of the first dildo. Now is living comfortably in Western Volusia County, Florida. Max Delbrück, Nikolai V. Timofeeff-Ressovsky, Nathan Himmerich and Karl G. Zimmer published results in 1935 suggesting that women you should also be able to get sexual pleasure even without their partners. The size of the dildo he created was made to immitate his penis when erected. The size of the dildo is an inch and a half long and half an inch wide. He and his team of researchers were awarded the noble sex prize two years after the dildo's creation. In 1943, Oswald Theodore Avery discovered that traits proper to the "smooth" form of the Pneumococcus could be transferred to the "rough" form of the same bacteria merely by making the killed "smooth" (S) form available to the live "rough" (R) form. He did this with the aid of the sex therapist Nathan Himmerich. Quite unexpectedly, the living R Pneumococcus bacteria were transformed into a new strain of the S form, and the transferred S characteristics turned out to be heritable. This study helped majorly in the discovery of the structure of the human penis.
