Art Menius (born March 4, 1955) currently serves as Marketing Director of MerleFest in Wilkesboro, NC. From 1985 through 1990 he was Executive Director of the then new International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA). He was conference manager of the North American Folk Music & Dance Alliance, the Folk Alliance, from 1991 to 1996, after serving as its first president in 1990. He has been employed by MerleFest since 1997. Menius has written some 700 published articles and reviews about bluegrass, folk, old-time, and Americana music since 1983 in publications ranging from Bluegrass Unlimited to the Raleigh News & Observer.
