The French Artois Hound is a dog breed. The dogs are hunters and need exercise and much room to run around.

The breed resembles the Beagle, but is much larger. The dogs are very powerful and have extremely muscular bodies. The Artois Hound was nearly extinct at the beginning of the 20th Century, however minimal breed protection policies and efforts have brought the dog back for now. Still, this breed is very rare.
