Arthur Haygarth

Arthur Haygarth (born Hastings 4 August 1825; died Pimlico 1 May 1903) was an English cricketer.
He was educated at Harrow and represented MCC, Middlesex and Sussex. He achieved greater fame after he retired from playing as a cricket writer, historian and biographer.
He is renowned as the compiler of Frederick Lillywhite's Cricket Scores and Biographies which ran to 14 volumes although Volume 1 covering the years 1744 - 1826 is by far the most significant. This has been re-issued by the historian Roger Heavens.
