Arthur Babbitt Fairchild

Arthur Babbitt Fairchild (1852-1927) was an American educator.
Fairchild was the son of Henry Fairchild, president of Berea College in Berea, Kentucky. Fairchild was educated at Berea College.
He was a professor at Doane College in Crete, Nebraska, for many years. For much of his tenure he was the treasurer of the college. He also served as acting president for a time.
Fairchild married Isabel Amanda Pratt who was also a student at Berea. He was the father of Henry Pratt Fairchild and Fred Rogers Fairchild who graduated from Doane College and became distinguished educators.
