Arthur Richard Albiston (born July 14, 1957 in Edinburgh) was a Scottish football player.
Arthur was groomed through Manchester United's youth system and made his debut in a League Cup Third Round match against local rivals Manchester City in 1974. He was a reliable, strong full back, a Denis Irwin of his day. He helped the club win the FA Cup in 1977, 1983, and 1985. Arthur left Manchester United in 1988 for West Bromwich Albion to link up with ex-Red Devils boss Ron Atkinson on a free transfer. After a single season at The Hawthorns he moved on to Dundee, and went on to play for Chesterfield, Chester City and Molde in Norway. In his career, he made 464 appearances and scored 7 goals.
Albiston also made 14 appearances for Scotland, making his debut on October 14, 1981 against Northern Ireland. His total includes 1 game at the World Cup finals, a 0-0 draw against Uruguay on June 13, 1986 in Group E of the Mexico tournament.
