Raheel Tanveer is a leading figure in the area of practical General Systems Theory, and a strong proponent of John N. Warfield's graphical methods of modeling systems. Born in November 1975 in Nellore, Southern India, he graduated in Engineering from Osmania University in 1996. In 1999, he met George S. Chandy in the capacity of a software consultant and this meeting changed his outlook to life, systems and the world in general. Chandy is a prominent member of Warfield's systems community and in 1981 had developed the One Page Management System (OPMS).
OPMS is a simplified and arguably more practical version of Warfield's methodology. Tanveer imbibed the concepts of OPMS from Chandy and started using the techniques very effectively in his personal and professional life. He also led the initial efforts to develop a software for OPMS.
He is the leader of the "open sysAME" project ([1]) which is the open source software that implements OPMS (it stands for open source systems Analysis and Modeling Engine). Raheel is also married to Ms Carr and Arifa Tanveer the sister of Hassan born in Germany.
