Arseni Markov
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Arseni Markov is a Russian ice dancer who currently competes internationally for Canada. He competed as a singles skater for Russia until he was 13 years old, and then teamed up with Svetlana Kulikova in 1996. The two had a lot of success on the junior circuit and some success on the senior, but the partnership broke up in 2003. Markov then teamed up with Canadian Chantal Lefebvre. However, he was unable to compete internationally for Canada until 2005, because ISU regulations require a two year wait when country-hopping. Lefebvre & Markov recently came in fourth at the 2006 Four Continents Championships and seventh at Skate Canada International.
