Arogno

Arogno is a village located south of Lake Lugano, in the southernmost tip of Switzerland.

Arogno's territory borders with the Swiss villages of Maroggia, Bissone and Rovio. It also borders with the city of Lugano and to the west with the Italian enclave of Campione. Arogno sits right on the border between Italy and Switzerland and on its territory there is also a border post.

Of notable artistic value are its church dedicated to Saint Stephen, the village's patron, and some chapels and smaller churches spread all over the village's territory.

Arogno is the perfect starting place for hiking trips on Monte Generoso.
