A Winner of the September 2005 West Dakota Prize

This entry, one of an unprecedented 52, has won the September 2005 West Dakota Prize, awarded for successfully employing the expression "legend states" in a complete sentence.

First he became abbot, then a priest? Don't know if one could be abbot before being priest. Got a reference? --Kbh3rd 02:41, 13 Oct 2004 (UTC)

The reference was written that way (a web page...). Probably he was the head of the monks (hence filling the role of the abbot) before his ordination. I'll see if I can dig anything up. Mpolo 07:31, Oct 13, 2004 (UTC)

"This was due to the unknown fact that during the process of brewing, the water used was boiled and thus sanitized." Could this also have been due to the fact that beer contains alcohol, which helps to kill pathogens otherwise found in water? --Judzillah 22:16, 2005 July 14 (UTC)
