Can we get some citations on the vernacular terms?

I recently graduated from US Army Training, and I can verify it is referred to as the "Gay Pride Ribbon"


In my day (1971-72) we called it the "KP Ribbon", in referrence to the fact that trainees were required to do KP duty several times during training on a rotational basis. Wschart 22:59, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
