Army Medical College is located at Rawalpindi, Punjab, Pakistan. Army Medical College is affiliated with National University of Science and Technology. It was established in 1977; the 1st course of 99 girls & boys was inducted on 26th March, now celebrated as the "Raising Day". Within years it became the most sought after medical college of Pakistan. Founder principal of the college, Lt Gen (Retd) Ayub Khan, affectionately called "Baba" by all Amcolians, took the tough challenge of getting the institution recognized against all odds. He not only succeeded in doing so on national level but soon the college was recognized for its excellent academic records the world over.


Army Medical College(AMC) has its curricula expanded over 5 years of essential medical education, and then the graduates are required to get one year of internship. First 2 years cover the basics of medical education, including: Anatomy, Physiology, Histology, and Biochemistry. Clinical clerkships start from third year onwards, including: Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, and Otorhinolaryngology.

Medical students are categorized into different categories like MC (Medical Cadets), PC (Paying Vadets), FS (Foreign Students) and NS (NUST Students).
