Armona Union School District is a school district in Armona, California.

The District is headed by Superintendant Steve Bogan [1]. Armona is a census-designated place consisting of 3,239 people in the 2000 Census, with approximately 35.4% of the population under the age of 18. The District is comprised of two schools: Armona Elementary, and Parkview Middle. Armona Elementary serves kindergarten through fourth grade. Parkview Middle School, which is located directly west of the elementary school serves grades five through eight. After eighth grade, inhabitants of the district attend Hanford West High School for ninth through twelth grades.

This school district sees 24.2% of families and 37.8% of children living under the poverty line. Lack of funding, and possible mishandling, caused the campuses to fall into major disrepair. During the 2004-2005, Parkview Middle School underwent major renovations to remedy the situation. The first classrooms slated to be renovated were the seventh and eighth grades. These renovations were completed in time for the end of the school year so that the students finished the year in new classrooms. For most of the school year the Seventh and Eight graders were educated in trailers. During this time, the playground area, often referred to as "the field" was also repaired. The Fifth and Sixth grade classrooms were redone the following year.

There has been some controversy as to whether the state of the classrooms, be they the previously decaying rooms or the temporary trailers has negatively affected the ability of the students in this district to score highly on state testing. This district is composed of 48.6% Latino population, many of which are newly immegrated or from migrant farming families. As such, many of these students have poor English skills across the board.
