Armin von Gerkan

Armin von Gerkan (November 30, 1885 in Subate, LatviaDecember 22, 1969 in Garstedt, now part of Norderstedt near Hamburg) was a German-Russian classical archaeologist and member of an baltic aristocracy family. He was an expert for archaeological building research and joint founder of Koldewey Society (Koldewey-Gesellschaft e.V.) in Berlin.
