Armagh Senior Football Championship

The Armagh Senior Football Club Championship is an annual Gaelic Athletic Association club competition between the top Armagh Clubs. The winners of the Armagh Championship qualify to represent their county in the Ulster Club Championship and in turn, go on to the All-Ireland Senior Football Club Championship. The current Armagh County Champions are Crosmaglen Rangers. Crossmaglen Rangers have won the Armagh senior football championship on most occasions, a total of 32 times since their first victory in 1911. During the 1997-2000 victorious seasons, Crossmaglen Rangers went on to claim three All-Irelands Club Championships in 4 years. The 2006 Armagh senior football club championship was contested by Crossmaglen Rangers and Clann na Gael and Crossmaglen lifted their 11th title in a row.

The first Football champions of Armagh were Armagh Harps in 1889, a game which saw the defeat of Blacktownwater by a scoreline of 4-14 to 0-03 in Armagh. Crossmaglen Rangers have won the Armagh senior football championship on most occasions, a total of 32 times since their first victory in 1911. During the 1997-2000 victorious seasons, Crossmaglen Rangers went on to claim three All-Irelands Club Championships in 4 years.
