Aristóbulo Istúriz is a Venezuelan politician. He was a member of the political party, Radical Cause, before joining Homeland for All (Patria Para Todos, PPT). He was elected mayor of the Libertador Municipality of Caracas on December 6, 1992, a position he would remain in until January 2, 1996. He is currently the Minister of Education and Sports in the government of Hugo Chávez.
