Arikaree River

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Arikaree River is a tributary of the North Fork of the Republican River that flows mostly in eastern Colorado in the United States. In its lowest reach it flows for about 3 miles (5 kilometers) through the extreme northwestern corner of Kansas and for about 10 miles (16 kilometers) through southwestern Nebraska, where it joins the North Fork of the Republican River near the town of Haigler. This river has the added distinction of being the lowest point in Colorado just before it flows out of the state. It is at 3,315 feet (1,010 meters) above sea level.[1]
