Argentinean Manitoban Association

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Argentinean Manitoban Association (AMA) is a non-profit organization, incorporated in the province of Manitoba, Canada.

The Argentinean community steady growth in Manitoba prompted the creation of AMA. Its three main goals are:

  • To generate participation and support for and among Argentineans living in Manitoba.
  • To promote Argentinean tradition and culture.
  • To support prospective Argentinean and Latin American (Spanish Speakers) immigrants.

Since its incorporation in the year 2000, AMA has achieved more visibility in the Manitoban community. This allowed the association, in a very short time, to participate at Folklorama 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2007, the most important multicultural festival in Canada's Midwest.
