Arena (swimwear)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Arena is a manufacturer of competitive swimwear. It was founded in 1973 by Horst Dassler, son of the creator of Adidas. The company is popular in Europe, where it is based, though it also offers products on the international market.
The company markets a high-technology line of swimwear using their Powerskin fabric, which is said to be less absorbent of moisture and reduce drag due to its second-skin compression fit.
Alexander Popov, Frédérick Bousquet, Laure Manaudou and Gary Hall Jr. are among the well known swimmers seen competing in Arena swim suits.
Arena also manufactures swimwear especially for triathlon and water polo.
