Ardath Mayhar

Ardath Frances Hurst Mayhar (born 1930) began her writing career in 1979 after a lifetime of experiences in Texas and around the world. She's been nominated for the Nebula Award, won both the Mark Twain Award and the Balrog Award, and numerous other nominations for awards in almost every fiction genre.

Mayhar has written over 60 books ranging from science fiction to horror to young adult to romance to westerns. She has used the pseudonyms Frank Cannon and John Killdeer.
