Arda Turan, born on January 30, 1987 in İstanbul,Turkey) is a Turkish football player in midfield position. He is currently at Galatasaray. He played for Manisaspor in 2005/06 season's 2nd half, where he impressed former Turkey coach Ersun Yanal to secure himself a place in the starting lineup. Arda is noted for his consistent performances on the right wing but he is also capable of playing on the left side or as a wing back.
Galatasaray Return
Arda returned to Galatasaray at the start of the 2006/07 season and gave an impressive performance in the 3rd round Champions League qualifying round game against Mladá Boleslav, by scoring two goals and setting up two more in the process. Following the game, he was widely praised by footballing experts all around Europe, who are likening him already to the likes of Gheorghe Hagi, a Galatasaray and Romania legend. Arda Turan is known for his beautiful passes, assists and the way he goes past defenders. Clubs like Inter, Milan, Newcastle and Tottenham are interested in Arda.
