This template is used for standardised archive headers. There are three parameters, two of which are optional. The first parameter is the date the archive was created, preferably in the style Month Year (ie, "December 2006"). The optional parameters are the links to current discussion and the archive index. By default, the template uses relative links to fit the structure Current discussion/Archives/Year/Month.

If you are using that structure, you can ignore the optional parameter: {{archive-header|December 2006}}. If you are using a different structure, you will need to specify the location yourself: {{archive-header|December 2006|Template talk:Archive-header|Template talk:Archive-header/Archives}}
