[edit] Panopticon
Interesting article about the architecture of oppression.
- Support and nominated. --Mcginnly | Natter 14:54, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
- Support. On a lighter note, all day today I was thinking of nominating MTV Cribs here, but when I look, the article isn't written enough, oh well, maybe someday someone will come along and write it. DVD+ R/W 23:33, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Parachute Jump
I had to do a project about this at school, and always saw it as a pre-cursor to the Space Needle. DVD+ R/W 16:11, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
- Support Well referenced — dogears (talk • contribs) 15:15, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
- Support Not just well-referenced, but interesting in and of itself. Adam Cuerden talk 15:55, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
- Support Really interesting - I remember something similar at Knotts Berry Farm in 1980. --Mcginnly | Natter 20:03, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Monticello
A building by an author of the Declaration of Independence. I wish we had pictures of it's sinuous brick garden walls. DVD+ R/W 16:11, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Onion Dome
Recently listed Good Article - Interesting article with a few really good pictures. I'd like to see a contruction section though personally - Any ideas, the RIBA's Architects working details is unlikely to be a good source. --Mcginnly | Natter 10:09, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
- Support Adam Cuerden talk 13:37, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] St. Basil's Cathedral
Beautiful photography mixed with a nicely informative (though short and needing sources) article. I'll be honest, though: The real strength is the photos. Adam Cuerden talk 18:33, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
- Comment I think we should support either Onion dome or this, but not both - I'm naturally on the onion dome side of things ;-) --Mcginnly | Natter 10:26, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
- Comment: If it's a choice, Onion dome, which is actually cited, wins out. Adam Cuerden talk 13:38, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose Onion dome article includes this building — dogears (talk • contribs) 15:15, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Angkor Wat
Vast, 12th century Cambodian Temple complex. Another FA
- Support and nominate. --Mcginnly | Natter 15:26, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
- Strong support Beautiful temple structure —dogears (talk • contribs) 04:19, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
- Support it would be good to see some non western Architecture featured. --Salix alba (talk) 09:49, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
- Support I second that about non western stuff, if you can help find them and nominate them Salix, that would be great. I'm thinking about nominating Shaolin, for the Pagoda Forest, unless someone beats me to it ;-). DVD+ R/W 22:56, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Vitra
We've never posted a company here, or anything about furniture, so I think this brand new article should be the first, for their furniture, but also patronage of architecture and development of a fascinating architectural campus. I've also recieved word that Vitra Design Museum is forthcoming, which we should also consider posting. DVD+ R/W 22:52, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the kind words. As the author, I abstain (to the extent I have a say anyway), but it's probably worth mentioning that since it's a brand new article, it's got some rough edges still, and some sources other than the company website would probably be good, too. If you're interested, I've just finished uploading quite a number of photos from the premises (not much, but I had little time...). Sandstein 23:58, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
