Ar Ramtha

Ramtha (Arabic: الرمثا) is a town in northwestern Jordan, near the border with Syria. It is located at around 32°33′33″N, 36°4′10″E. Ramtha is a wonderful city in northern Jordan. there are a lot of historical sites around it. the area was populated for ages. roman ruins can be found around the area. so as islamic and crusaders land marks. Ramtha is part of Sahil Houran " Houran Land" which used to be called the Bread Basket of the Roman Empire because of its fertile soil and water.

Ramtha is the main border city between Jordan and Syria. you can see Syria and Israel from the northern most part of Ramtha.

To the west of Ramtha there's an area called Shalalah. which means waterfall. it's a valley with water falls and caves. used to be very populated during the Roman era. the area is rich of artifacts and ruins. also it's very popular among gold digger who go there looking for ancient burial grounds that might contain Gold and silver or any other antiquities.

The city is also a very busy commercially; since it's ab order town it's a hub of most of the imports and exports that come through the country. and also because it falls on the route from northern Arabia and europe to southern Arabia.
