This page is intended to get administrator attention quickly when dealing with external link abuse.
For editors who want to get an administrator to have a look at a case of external link abuse or spamming:
- Make sure the editor's actions do not comply with WP:EL and/or WP:SPAM.
- Make sure the editor has been warned with the {{spam1}}, {{spam2}}, and {{spam3}} templates as appropriate on their user talk page.
- If the behavior hasn't stopped, add the following header to the bottom of this page in the following format:
- =={{vandal|<enter username/IP address here>}}==; followed by a description of the type of link being added and the type of articles being affected, and your signature using ~~~~
- Please check back later to monitor progress
- If an administrator removes the IP or username and doesn't handle the matter to your satisfaction, take it to the administrator's talk page or the administrators' noticeboard, but do not re-list the user here.
For administrators handling assistance requests:
- For each of the users linked here, open their contributions and check for external link abuse. Also check if the users have been sufficiently warned, but have continued to vandalise.
- Move the case to the Completed requests section of this page.
- Repeat until the page is empty save for this header.
