Apodaca is a city that is part of the Greater Monterrey metropolitan area. Apodaca is one of the fastest-growing cities in Nuevo León and an important industrial center.

The General Mariano Escobedo International Airport (IATA: MTY) and the Del Norte International Airport (IATA: NTR) are located in Apodaca.
